In the last two decades, technology has defined how business is conducted. Without technology and especially the internet, business as we know it today would cease to exist. I founded Dataworks with this in mind and have tried to change the role of the IT support staff in business. Dataworks believes that technology is an extension of business; those who maintain it need to understand how that technology relates to business productivity.
When I started Dataworks the goal was simple, give excellent customer service and become a trusted adviser. I spent 8 years in various IT positions ranging from hospitals, financial services firms and small business consulting. During that time I learned that business and technology must go hand in hand. The IT person in any organization large or small must be able to understand how technology impacts every facet of the business.
I had the privilege of working directly with business owners during my time in corporate IT and from those experiences I am able to help other business owners understand technology and its role in the business. In the end technology is a tool; it doesn’t need support the people using the tool do.
Having worked closely with medical and financial professionals, I am aware of many of the regulatory compliance laws and how IT plays a role in their mandates. My goal is to make our clients successful and ultimately profitable through effective use of technology.
